Summer nights.
Summer nights on the beach,
Summer loves that never seem to be.
Summer finds those,
who desire this freedom,
This mystical energy of what may be,
To what can come,
To what will come..
You see?
There's this memory I have.
It's placed on the shore,
It's placed on the shore,
Water crashing in the back ground,
The sun is setting,
I'm beside someone I know,
Not well, but I'm crazy for her.
I put my arm around her,
she rests her head on mine,
As we stare into the sunset.
This same night,
We run down the beach,
We jump into,
not quite cold,
but very refreshing water.
The stars are bright,
the moon is full.
I remember being so happy here,
as if all of my problems had evaporated,
it was just me and her.
It's not so much the person,
as the memory,
the feeling,
the excitement.
Kissing under the moonlight being reflected by the water all around.
The beach is not far from here.
The waves are still crashing.
Someday you will I will recreate that memory again,
only with someone I share everything with,
My all in one,
My hun,
My love.
Whoever she may be..
This memory capsulates how it should be.
Life should be and can be that simple.
When all of the complications of life settle down,
When the night comes,
It's just you and the person you sleep with,
even if that person is only yourself.
So to those summer nights,
Those mystical energies that pull us far.
I've forgotten you,
But I wont ever again.
I will keep you in my heart,
and find you always.
And recreate you often.
Life may come and go.
It may take you to your knees,
But you are still there.
Those summer nights,
Those summers loves..
To those memories I'll stay,
To those memories I'll go..
I'll take them back,
And make them some more.
