"steal my heart, break my pride."

It's funny when you think,
That I once trusted you with everything.
Call me a fool, call me what you may,
But I thought more of you.

Couldn't blame me,
Maybe I take chances to soon,
But maybe I did think to much..

But I have no idea where else my heart could have been.

The places I've been,
The places I've seen,
Will only mark the past as in the future,
I will go so many more places.

I did what I thought,
As I did what I knew,
The right way to turn,
The right way to fall.
Only god knew,
This outcome which came.

But I can tell you now,
I am better off,
For the pictures I once had,
Up in my head was all but fake.

I thought to much,
I gave more than I should have,
But in the end,
I am finishing up, on top.

For now I know,
And now I've seen,
The ways i once tought,
To live my life,
Is all but a lie.

The past is known,
The present changes,
My future is great,
The walk I must make,
Is now moving forward,
You never came,
You never followed.
I took the lead,
And tripped myself.
While you took a different path.

I don't regret,
Nor do I wish things were different,
It all happended the way it was supposed to.

The saying stays.
