My First Day

The start of a new love.
Sure, it wasn't perfect but still those first moments.
Things changed, my life was taken by a whirlwind,
I was brought to a new world,
A new life,
Somewhere I'm sure God's hand played a role.
That was the first time of my life...

Things were rocky,
Angels we needed;
then angels we became,
We brought it out of each other.

Even the hardest times couldn't hide it.
For whatever reason we both turned each others life's upside down.

Everything changed,
I couldn't have wanted more.

Things turned dark,
Dark clouds hung above,
Things take forever,
and oh boy how I am slow.
My hard head takes a beating before it learns.

But if you can accept this,
I hope you can,
I have been learning from you.
I have taken you into my life.

"I’m glad I didn’t die before I met you
But now I don’t care I could go anywhere with you
And I’d probably be happy”"

Rather to what end I cannot see.

I swear I've changed,(I can't believe it)
I don't know when it happened,
I don't know why or when,
but I know where I am headed.

I've realized that I don't want you out of my life.
You are to good of a friend,
to great of a person.

I know I haven't been the best to you always.
But I know I have done the best I could have.

Times different are ahead,
I see sunshine,
I see...

The first time of a new life.
"I think I was blind before I met you
Now I don’t know where I am
I don’t know where I’ve been
But I know where I want to go"

You have been my bestest friend,
It's been rocky,
but hell you're still in my life.

A smile,
I'm happier when we talk,
I'm happier just to hear your name.
Things happen, wither way I am happy.

"So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery
Besides maybe this time is different
I mean I really think you like me"

I want you to know: There was a time,  A time when when words I wrote, made up for feelings I lacked. There was a time when, convenience was the answer, the easy answer.
