To a time and a place


You didn’t deserve the way I treated you,

I couldn’t see just how much you meant to me..


Until it was just.. too late.


A dearest friend lost

A person I saw through

Though The Belle of the Ball she always was..


We should talk,

Catch up and reminisce.


Too much later..

A lifeline God sent my way.

How close we would become. 


A bad decision wrote you out of my life

Before I could even say thank you.

A friend you always were 

A friend I’ve never forgotten.

We shared a moment in 2010.

The High School crush I was finally able to be with..


I was too young to understand

Just what you needed from me

I pushed you away

I made it about me when you just needed time.

Time to reflect, to heal.


An apology I owe you.

An apology I want to give..


I miss what could have been

It wasn’t meant to be I guess

I hope you’ve achieved all you wanted out of life to this point.


If not, it’s never too late..


We should talk.

To the people I could have understood better.

Have you ever? Just not known? Known up from down? Down from up? As if you’re lost in the haze of existence Trying to swim, Yet suddenly forgetting how to? I do, I have, and still do. Kinda.. all the time. Somehow I found myself here. Today…   In a new stage of life. A stage I never thought I’d have to relive Yet reliving in a unique way. Seeing how I once was, But enjoying this version of myself much more. Im such a different person now. And in a much better place.. Do you ever miss cues? I do and do all the time? Half the time I can’t tell the up from down And feeling like I’m walking on a different planet Yesterday I was dealing with CEO’s People of means Making much more.. Living a Very different life, Money didn’t bring happiness..   I did try to buy it though.. 😂 Funny how I’m somehow happier now, than I was back then. Here's more of a personal Topic. For the majority of my life, I have been deemed many things: Aloof, Overly optimistic, Prideful, Diligent, a Good person, Career focused, Scatter Brained, Driven, Willful, competitive so many things; but never Depressed, Angry, Stagnant, Cold Distant, Hopeless, Bitter... Riddled with insecurities, Trapped in my mind.. These last several months, even years have truly challenged the very fibers of what makes me, me.  I went from being a catch above all others, to unemployed, Un-marriageable..  I've been attacked to the core of my confidences in myself, and my outlook of the Man I am. The man I've worked my whole life to become. My life. Fell apart. And the ghosts of my past, Things I should have wrapped up years ago, Came back in force. I fell hard. Belly up, I felt lost, Destroyed. I sank into a deep depression. I felt hopeless.
